Position: Maintenance Laborer

The Miami County Park District is seeking an individual who is motivated and has the right combination of experience and/or education in parks and recreation area maintenance or a related field to become a Full-Time Operations Maintenance Laborer.
 
The Maintenance Laborer assists, reports to and takes directions from the Operations Director and Crew Leaders.
 
This is a skilled work position in the construction and maintenance of park district facilities. Work involves the performance of semi and skilled laborer duties. The skilled maintenance individual has proven abilities in the construction field and operation of light-duty trucks as well as tractors. Illustrative examples of work include, but are not limited to, major repairs of park facilities, small new construction projects, mowing of park property, general clean-up, minor construction projects, janitorial work, etc.  This position requires weekend and evening hours.

The salary range begins for this position at $17/hour for part-time permanent and $18/hour for full-time positions.  Starting salary will be dependent on experience.  The selected individual is eligible for all benefits offered to full time Park District staff.
