Goode Prairie Preserve
 
 


Goode Prairie Preserve is owned by the state of Ohio and managed by the Miami County Park District.  Goode Prairie is open from 8 am to sunset every day.

Goode Prairie Preserve is a hidden treasure tucked away in a country setting.  Far from busy roads this preserve is a peaceful and quiet place to visit.  During the months of June and July it boasts a sea of wildflowers in bloom.   A one mile loop trail takes you past a tall grass prairie to the crest and slope of a south-facing bluff overlooking the Scenic Stillwater River.

This primitive natural setting is home to a wide variety of plant species including: Big & Little Bluestem, Nodding Wild Onion, Partridge Pea, Flowing Spurge, Butterfly Weed, Hoary Puccoon, Wild Bergamot and Gray Headed Coneflower.

You are encouraged to use the pathways provided to broaden your experience and to help protect this unique natural site by obeying the rules of the Preserve.

Goode Prairie Reserve is a 5 acre reserve primarily provides access to the Stillwater River.

Directions to Goode Prairie Preserve:

Preserve Location: Goode Prairie Preserve is located at 40354 Union-Church Road, north west of Covington.  Take State Route 185 west of Stillwater Prairie Reserve to Fink Road.  Take a right on Fink Road.  Turn left on Union-Church Road and follow until you see the entrance.

Goode Prairie River Access Location: Goode Prairie River Access is located at 8910 Bradford Bloomer Rd. Bradford.  Take State Route 185 west of Stillwater Prairie Reserve to Bradford Bloomer Rd.  Turn right on Bradford Bloomer Rd.  You will see the 5 acre access location on the left after you cross the bridge.
