F.L. Blankenship Riverside Sanctuary

The F.L. Blankenship Riverside Sanctuary, located on St. Rt. 48 south of Covington, Ohio, was the first dedicated park donated to the Park District in 1975.

This 5 acre tract of land resides along the shores of the State Scenic Stillwater River near Faulkner Road. Comprised of mature riverine forest, the site is a perfect place for fishing, launching canoes, or just watching wildlife along the river. A bicentennial time capsule is buried on the site where a short loop trail circles the property. A small parking lot is located off of St. Rt. 48 where cars can park everyday, 8 a.m. to sunset.

Park Features

  • 5 acres
  • canoe access to Stillwater River
