F.L. Blankenship Riverside Sanctuary

The F.L. Blankenship Riverside Sanctuary, located on St. Rt. 48 south of Covington, Ohio, was the first dedicated park donated to the Park District in 1975.

This 5.3 acre sanctuary resides along the shores of the State Scenic Stillwater River near Faulkner Road.  Comprised of mature riverine forest, the site is a perfect place for fishing, launching canoes, or just watching wildlife along the river.  A bicentennial time capsule is buried on the site where a short loop trail circles the property.  A small parking lot is located off of St. Rt. 48 where cars can park.
