  • Join us for the annual Fishing Derby. Bring your pole and enjoy Grandparents day with a family afternoon of fishing. The Derby is fro children ages 4 - 16.  Pre-registration strongly encourage for this event. Register by clicking on the link above. Check-in for ages 4 – 9 starts at 1 pm with fishing from 1:30 – 2:30 pm and check-in for ages 10 – 16 starts at 2:30 with fishing from 3 – 4 pm. Various trophies and door prizes will be awarded.

If your dog is nice and plays well with others bring your pooch on down to the park. Leisurely stroll down the trail with your dog as he/she enjoys the treats along the way.   • Discover some of the most gorgeous nighttime critters, moths. We will be black lighting and sugar baiting to lure in these beautiful insects. This session will be different from the one held in June as different species are alive at the beginning and end of summer. This program is connected to the Pollinator Walks. The Moth Walks will look at the night time creatures that are attracted to the bait and the Pollinator Walks will look at the daytime pollinators that are attracted to the same bait.

    Also going on is the Storybook Trail “Under One Rock” by Anthony Fredericks 1:00 to 3:00 at Charleston Falls. A Semi Precious Gem Stone Rock prize can be attained by Reading the Book, drawing a picture, and answering a couple of questions. We will have the book at the program! This book is part of the Storybook Trail - Quest Nature Book Program.  Ask your Local Library about more Nature Books and the Storybook Trail.
